Ferrari Tales

Little girls around the world spend their days day dreaming about what their future home would look like, from the window dressings, all the way down to what type of furniture will fill the home they raise their family in. Others day dream about the perfect companion, who will come in and whisk them on a whirl wind romance and having a wedding perfect enough to be on the cover of every bridal magazine.
I was a bit different. Sure those things were somewhere in my mind, but by high school, my mind was focused on other things. I had my mind set on cars. At first, the American corvette.

There was nothing more exciting to me than picturing myself driving down a good stretch of road increasing speed, being in control of something so powerful. Who needs a man (or woman for that matter) when you have the reigns of a (Chevy Corvette) in your hands.

It wasn’t until later in my life that I switched gears and found a new love. Ferraris. Joining the Ferrari and Lamborghini club here in Vancouver and the US Northwest chapter, my dreams were in motion. I was blessed to be introduced to the world of Ferraris. I have to thank my ex-husband for that gear shift! And so, Ferraris…their special design and the uniqueness of designing your own. The quality and craftsmanship that went into the creation was a whole new world in its own in terms of the luxury automobile. Taking the design reigns into my own hands and voilá! You have a custom order. Not only was it a fast car anymore, it became a designer’s work of art. The designer being no other than you.

Starting out with the 355 SE spider, my love for italian cars expanded to the pleasure of the Ferrari 430 spider, 458 Italia, and 2 599 GTO’s with a Lamborghini Murciélago in the pack. Not to forget my everyday Fiat 500 Gucci edition. Italian design in my books stretches not only from the automobili but to fashion as well :)

There’s nothing like driving. When you take the time to appreciate the feel of the car, the movement you initiate and the power it exerts, you can’t help but fall in love with your car all over again and feel the excitement, as if it was the very first time you turned the key in the ignition.
